Camouflage is a great strategy to hide threats (fork, capturing material, dangerous checks, etc.) under a layer of one or more clever moves. By hiding the threats, the opponent is lulled into a feeling of safety. And then suddenly, out of the blue sky, a tactical blow hits the position. The opponent usually experiences a psychological shock and has to adjust to the new situation on the board. Take a look at this example:
